Abbey Road On The River:
An unforgettable week,
filled with wonderful feelings!
THE BEAT!radicals want to thank our
new American friends for the great reception at such a wonderful event
- Abbey Road On The River! Sorry that we could not update this part of
our website earlier - after our return to Germany we had a lot of
concerts and had to do our regular jobs... But now we want to show you,
american friends, all of our impressions of the festival at the Galt
House. In a few days you will find a lot of pics, videos, memories of
THE BEAT!radicals on this website! Take a look again!
First, a big Thank You to the staff
and crew in Louisville for doing an amazing job! It was an
unforgettable week filled with wonderful feelings of togetherness -
moments we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Mario, Chris, Tino
and Peter are talking on the phone daily just to talk about great
memories of the festival, we are are still so excited about it when we
discover new photos that somebody has taken.
We made new friends in Kentucky and we
are so happy that the audience enjoyed our performances - although it
was our first year at the festival an we´re not a pure Beatles
tribute act. So many of you came by and we were just blown away by the
response. Also, we are overwhelmed by those many entries in our
guestbook, the AROTR guestbook and on facebook - what a great feedback!
We want to send along LOTS OF LOVE to all!!!
Congratulations to the other performers - so many talented musicians - for a great job!!!
Please feel free to friend us on MySpace (www.myspace.com/thebeatradicals) and Facebook. We would love to hear from you. We love you all and hope to see you along the way…
Peter, Chris, Tino & Mario of THE BEAT!radicals

THE BEAT!radicals are happy to play concerts in the USA
We are so proud to visit the United States of America in a few weeks
– we will be part of one of the most famous music festivals in
this big country! We can’t wait to start on our first trip to the
USA !!!

At the end of May THE BEAT!radicals will visit the USA for the first
time: From the 27th to the 31st of May Peter, Chris, Tino and Mario
will play at the fantastic festival in Louisville/Kentucky: www.abbeyroadontheriver.com
It is the biggest Beatles inspired music festival in the world! THE
BEAT!radicals will enjoy the spirit of the Beatles – the greatest
band in the world – and we hope that our “radical history
of beat music – from Elvis to Green Day” will find a big
audience!
We wish that YOU, the Beatles fans from America and from all over the
world, will enjoy our shows. We will prove to you that beat music
hasn´t died back in the Sixties, that it has survived every
decade since then: We will start at the roots: Elvis Presley, Little
Richard, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent. Then we play some songs of the big
Beat era: The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who and of course The
Beatles! The seventies will include songs by T. Rex, from the eighties
we play The Knack, Tom Petty or Huey Lewis & The News – until
we reach today: Green Day and The Hives.
As a surprise for the American crowd, THE BEAT!radicals have prepared a song of each of the Beatles as solo artists…
Because there is no other music that has been that much inspired by the
Beatles like BEAT music, Gary Jacob and his team decided to invite the
four Beat "prophets" from Germany. We will play six or seven concerts
at "Abbey Road On The River" at the Galt House Hotel in the Belvedere
Festival Park. The schedule is already online (see festival homepage
above).
"Abbey Road On The River" features the world´s best
Beatles-tribute bands in the world – and Peter's other band, the
Beatles tribute "Lucy In The Sky" (www.lucy-in-the-sky.de), have
already played there three times. The festival is also open for music
which is inspired by the music of the Beatles and by the era of that
times. The first appearance of THE BEAT! radicals and their USA
premiere will be on Thursday, 27th of May, at 6.30 pm at the "Fountain
Stage".
The band is very happy to play at this great festival. They are so
excited to share in this beautiful tradition and share some great music
with the American crowd! See you in May!
